I'm a teacher and have done a lot of work with the NZ Police. Here's some advice: 1. Get fit, do lots of sport and look after yourself. 2. Do everything you can to improve your reading, writing and speaking skills. Being a good cop is about communicating effectively in very difficult situations. 3. Make smart decisions and think before you act! Good on you for stating a proactive goal.
